“Nature is One; forces act from everywhere. Whoever has an open mind for the evident working of these forces can understand nature.”

Rudolf Steiner, Agriculture Course, 1924

The term “biodynamic” or “biological-dynamic” consists of two parts: “bio” refers agriculture that follows the laws of life; the term “dynamic” emphasizes, in this context, the use of the “forces” or organizing principles that act within and upon substances.

It is a form of agriculture practiced according to the principles of anthroposophy. The foundation of biodynamic agriculture is the “Agriculture Course” by Rudolf Steiner, a collection of several lectures that Steiner gave during the Pentecost week of 1924 in Koberwitz.
